Nice to meet you--
I'm Bea.
I'm a photographer, experimental video artist, and a neon glass bender. I consider myself a media storyteller, particularly in video production, with experience as a production assistant, 2nd AC, and editor.
I received a B.A. in Communication Arts--Radio, Television, and Film, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, along with three certificates in Digital Cinema Production, Digital Studies, and Studio Art. I also studied abroad in Florence, Italy, where I attended the Santa Reparata International School of Art and took courses like Video and Sound Art.
I like to think of myself as a jack-of-all-trades. I'm always trying my hand at a new medium–for instance, when I expanded my practices to include neon glassblowing, a huge step away from the art I make with my camera and computer–or learning to use a new media production program.
I'm passionate about using my background in photography and media production to rethink boundaries that currently exist within the contemporary art world. I'm committed to building strong relationships with artists on the principles of trust, respect, and creativity.
I'm always looking for opportunities to work on new projects and collaborate with other creatives. Let's work together!
