Nice to meet you--
I'm Bea.
I'm a photographer, experimental video and sound artist, neon glass bender, and brand designer. I'm also an aspiring filmmaker, with experience as a production assistant on film sets as well as from working on my own freelance and personal projects.
I received a B.A. in Communication Arts--Radio, Television, and Film, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, along with three certificates in Digital Cinema Production, Digital Studies, and Studio Art. I also studied abroad in Florence, Italy, where I attended the Santa Reparata International School of Art and took courses like Video and Sound Art and Graphic Design.
I like to think of myself as a jack-of-all-trades. I'm always trying my hand at a new medium--for instance, when I expanded my practices to include neon glassblowing, a big step from the art I make with my camera and on my computer--or learning to use a new media production program. Even my photography experience ranges from professional studio work and photojournalism to editorial and experimental. If there's one thing I love, it's trying something new.
I've also spent several years in the service industry, which has contributed to my passion towards working with other people. I adapt quickly, thrive in fast-paced environments, and am both a team player and an independent thinker.
I'm always looking for opportunities to work on new projects and collaborate with other creatives. Let's work together!
